The mulch can stay on site for landscaping or leave with us entirely.

On a mountain property, chipping where the material falls is almost always cheaper than loading and hauling raw brush down the canyon, because raw brush is mostly air and you pay to move the air.

How the job runs

We confirm access — chipper width, gate clearance, and where the truck can park on a steep drive.
Material gets staged with butt ends facing the chipper, which is most of what makes a chipping day fast.
Brush is fed and processed on site, with the crew working the pile down rather than carrying it.
Mulch is either blown where you want it, piled for later use, or loaded out.
The work area gets raked and cleared before we leave.

What drives the price

We quote on site, in writing, after walking the work with you. These are the variables that move the number:

Volume of material, measured by pile size rather than piece count
Whether the pile is staged and accessible, or scattered across the property
Driveway grade and turnaround room for the chipper and truck
Whether mulch stays on site (cheaper) or gets hauled (adds disposal and trucking)
Material diameter — anything over 12" needs different handling

On a Wasatch Back property

Two things specific to this area. First, the Park City Fire District runs a free chipping program for residents inside its boundaries, including Jeremy Ranch, Promontory, and Trailside. If your material is already cut and curbside, use it — we will tell you so. It handles one pile per address per pass, with piles no larger than 8 by 6 by 8 feet, so it does not cover a real fuel-reduction job on acreage. Second, beetle-killed conifer should not be moved off the property casually; chipping on site avoids transporting infested material.

Can you leave the mulch on my property?: Yes, and it is the cheaper option. Mulch is useful on root zones and trails. Keep it out of the first five feet around structures, where defensible-space guidance calls for non-combustible ground cover instead.
What size material can you chip?: Up to about 12 inches in diameter. Larger rounds get cut for firewood, hauled out, or left stacked depending on what you want.
